Answers to common questions about notarial services, legal forms, and how to work with Stone Notary.
What do I need to bring to a notarization appointment?
A valid, government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport). The document being signed must be complete and unsigned before the notary arrives.
Can you provide legal advice or complete forms for me?
No. Notaries are not attorneys and are prohibited from giving legal advice or completing forms unless explicitly trained and authorized under applicable guidelines.
What is a Remote Online Notarization (RON)?
RON allows documents to be notarized digitally using secure video conferencing tools. Clients can be located anywhere in the U.S. or abroad.
Do I need a witness for my document?
Some documents require one or more witnesses. Stone Notary can provide witnesses for an additional fee if needed.
Can I get fingerprinting done without an appointment?
Appointments are preferred to ensure availability, but same-day services may be accommodated based on location and availability.
Do you offer bundled services?
Yes! We offer bundled savings on LLC kits, credit repair tools, and estate planning packages. Check our DIY Kits or Fee Schedule for current offerings.
What immigration services do you provide?
We assist with form preparation and notarization for a variety of USCIS applications including TPS, petitions, and adjustment of status. Clients are reminded that we do not offer legal advice.
How should I prepare for a loan signing appointment?
Ensure all signers are present with valid ID. Please review the documents if possible ahead of time and confirm availability of any required witnesses. We'll guide you through every step.
